Andrew Scott to Deliver TED Talk in Bristol

My First TED Talk

It’s official. I will be taking the stage at We The Curious in Bristol on 8 November for my first TED Talk. The session will later be broadcast around the world on the TED platform in March 2026.

I have admired TED Talks for more than twenty years. Speakers like Simon Sinek, Seth Godin and Professor Brené Brown have had a huge influence on the way I think about leadership, purpose and authenticity. So it is a real honour to step into that famous red circle myself.

What I Will Be Talking About

My talk is about Purpose. It is about how purpose can help us navigate the most challenging adversities and traumas in life and find a sense of direction that enables us to live the life we truly deserve.

Purpose gives us strength when things fall apart. It gives meaning to our challenges and helps us rebuild. I’ll be sharing my own story and what I’ve learned about finding purpose through difficult times, both in business and personally.

Why This Matters

This talk feels different. I have spoken on many stages about business, leadership and entrepreneurship, but this one is personal. It is about what drives us when we lose our way and how we can turn pain into progress.

I believe that when we understand our purpose, everything else starts to make sense. It changes how we work, how we lead, and how we live.

Join Me in Bristol

I’ll be joining a lineup of brilliant TEDx speakers at We The Curious with a live audience and the TEDx team recording throughout the day. If you’d like to attend, please message me directly for a link to book tickets.

About Me

I am the founder and CEO of The Ascot Group, a group of marketing, media and technology businesses that includes Purplex and Insight Data. I’ve spent my career helping companies grow, mentoring entrepreneurs, and building teams with purpose at the heart of everything we do.

After the Talk

When the TED Talk goes live on the global platform in March 2026, I’ll be sharing my reflections on the experience and what it meant to me here on this page.
