Global Woman Summit London 2025 – Keynote Reflections

Speaking at the Global Woman Summit London 2025 was one of the standout moments of my year. Held at the iconic Grand Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, this three-day event brought together more than 500 industry leaders, change-makers and entrepreneurs from over 40 countries.
The summit was created by Mirela Sula and is part of the wider Global Woman Club network. It’s a global force for visibility, empowerment, and real business transformation.
A Unique Event with a Powerful Atmosphere
This was the 10th anniversary of the Summit, and it showed. From the branding to the guest list, everything was world-class. Global Woman Magazine has successfully positioned the event as a platform for female entrepreneurship, health and well-being, collaboration and strategic growth.
The mix of wellness, mindset and business made it truly unique. Topics ranged from the science of happiness to social media strategy, finance and investing, and managing a scalable enterprise.

What Did I Speak About?
I spoke on Saturday, 28th June, during the finance and business strand of the Summit. I kept it simple and direct.
I shared how I:
- Left Belfast at 18
- Lost everything in my 30s
- Rebuilt from a six-figure debt
- Scaled multiple businesses
- Built the Ascot Group
- Now invest in entrepreneurs and lead masterminds
The audience was fully engaged, and not just because of my story. They connected with the message: Purpose + Planning + Execution = Success
I didn’t step on that stage to talk about ideas; I talked about reality. Business failure, reinvention, growth, purpose, and mentoring the next generation.
That’s what resonated.
The impact of my session didn’t end with the applause. People came up afterwards to ask real questions, not about slides, but about decisions, pressure, and what it really takes to rebuild or scale. Over 60 delegates pre-registered for my new book, Imposter Millionaire. That’s when you know it landed

Impromptu Q&A session
I was the final speaker before lunch, so I had the chance to meet and have photos with dozens of successful and aspiring female entrepreneurs during the break. Mirela, the organiser, then asked me to do an impromptu Questions and Answers session with the VIP guests, everything from business advice to overcoming self-doubt.
Who Was in the Room?
The audience was a mix of experienced entrepreneurs, scientists, academics and decision-makers with real-world traction. The diversity of thought and background was striking, as people built, scaled, and recalibrated businesses across the world.
While I didn’t meet every speaker personally, the lineup included figures such as:
- Dr Arshi Ayub Zaveri (UAE Royal Family Offices)
- Marika Dzhindzhikhashvili (venture capitalist, Miami)
- Nicole Buffett (artist and granddaughter of Warren Buffett)
- Consultant psychiatrist Dr Saima Niaz
- Longevity and wellness expert Dr Tanya Alvarez
The atmosphere was focused, open and energising. Exactly the kind of room I want to be in.
How Did I Get Involved with Global Woman Club?
I didn’t apply. I didn’t pitch. Mirela Sula saw me speak at another event and came straight up to me afterwards. Her words were: “You’re the best speaker I’ve ever seen on stage. I want you to speak at my summit.”
I’m selective about where I speak. But once I read more about Mirela’s mission and saw the impact of her work, I knew this was worth doing. And I’m glad I did.

What’s the Value of Speaking at Events Like This?
For me, this isn’t about clout or exposure. It’s about contribution. Networking in person still matters, especially in a world dominated by subscribers, algorithms and online-only communication.
I spoke to people who run real businesses, make hard decisions daily, and need support from those who’ve walked the walk.
What’s Next for the Global Woman Movement?
The 2025 edition set the bar high. I expect next year’s event to expand beyond the UK, tapping into more local Global Woman Clubs around the world. That growth will be powered by strong coaching, peer support and shared experiences.
